Alexander the Grape …..

Alexander was faced with a dilemma.
He was earning rave reviews for his wine, but he wasn’t producing enough to supply the large supermarkets.
Given the recession and falling consumption, Alexander’s fellow wine producers in Tikves(Macedonia) were cutting their costs and production.
But winemaking had been in Alexander’s family for more than 130 years. He loved making wine.
Alexander’s ego told him to, "Play it safe, so you won’t fail."
His head told him, "It will be very difficult."
But his heart whispered, "Go on. Give it a go."
That was in 2011.
Two years and a few sleepless nights later, Alexander got the break he needed: Marks & Spencer started selling his wine and business is booming.
Fortune does indeed favour the brave.
Ps. If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door – Milton Berle.
Pps. Alexander’s 2010 Vranec Red really is rather good, and at only £6 a bottle represents excellent value for money….. it’s quite heavenly with cheese.
Humour
- My doctor’s got it wrong. According to the body mass index chart that he gave me….. I’m too short.
- I just won a great prize in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary contest: Two tickets to the 1966 World Cup.
- If you get a red wine stain on your clothes, get a bottle of white wine, drink it, and you won’t give a damn.
- I’m very good at remembering random facts.
There are over 1000 different types of lice.
And that’s just off the top of my head. - Dorothy threatened to leave me due to my obsession with Morse Code.
I said, "Please don’t dash Dot." - My husband left me yesterday due to my addiction to anti-depressants.
Looks like I won’t be needing them anymore.
