Research by Dan Buettner and his team at National Geographic reveals that the happiest and most successful people enjoy 7-8 hours of social interaction per day – this is face to face time, not Facebook.
Of course you can be happy by yourself, but it would appear that we’re happiest when in the company of people we like.
The digital revolution brings enormous benefits, but when it comes to being happy and building the right business relationships, you’re better off getting away from your desk and syncing your heart not your iPhone.
Perhaps we should make this the Winter of our Disconnect?
